"My passion for coaching is rooted in helping hockey players to develop confidence and passion for the game”.  

The Thief River Falls, Minnesota native played high school hockey for the Prowlers before moving on to play collegiate hockey at the University of Wisconsin–Superior.  

As Varsity Head, Assistant Varsity, and JV Head Coach over the past 30 years, Coach Bergland has compiled a record of 312-125-6 (.708). 

Coach Bergland was truly honored to be selected the John Mariucci Coach of the Year 2022, Minnesota AA Coach of the Year 2022, and Section 5AA Coach of the year in 2017, 2020, 2022. 

Most importantly, Coach Bergland is so proud of the many athletes who impacted the Crimson program and for bringing the Crimson to the 2017 and 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 Class AA State Tournament.
